I work alone. The person who designs your site also builds it, and still answers your email after launch.

Minulla on tästä työstä yksi vahva mielipide: pienyrityksen sivun pitää latautua heti ja vastata kahteen kysymykseen. Mitä te teette, ja mitä se maksaa. Kaikki muu tulee näiden jälkeen.

I hold one strong opinion about this work: a small company's site has to load right away and answer two questions. What do you do, and what does it cost. Everything else comes after those.

Koulutukseltani olen tietojenkäsittelytieteen maisteri Tampereen yliopistosta. Erikoistuin ihmisen ja teknologian vuorovaikutukseen eli siihen, miksi toinen sivu on helppo käyttää ja toinen ei sekä mistä ero syntyy.

By training I am a Master of Science in Computer Science from Tampere University. I specialised in Human-Technology Interaction, the study of why one page is easy to use and another is not, and where the difference comes from.

This page doubles as a work sample. I wrote it by hand1, and the whole thing, typeface included, weighs less than one photo taken on your phone2.

Rakennan verkkokaupankin käsin ilman valmisalustaa. Ostopolun pidän lyhyenä, sillä jokainen ylimääräinen vaihe kassalla maksaa myyntiä.I build the online store by hand too, without an off-the-shelf platform. I keep the path to purchase short, since every extra step at the checkout costs sales.

Pidän rakentamani sivut kunnossa. Hoidan päivitykset ja varmuuskopiot, ja pienet muutokset hoituvat ilman uutta projektia.I keep the sites I build in working order. Updates and backups are on me, and small changes happen without a new project.

The online store of a car audio shop in Ylivieska. I coded the whole store myself, from the product pages to the checkout. The same address also holds the installation service and a set of car audio guides.

Vantaalaisen valokuvaajan portfolio. Suunnittelin ulkoasun ja koodasin sivuston: etusivu, neljä kuvakokoelmaa ja tietoa-sivu. Isot valokuvat toimitetaan vain siinä koossa, jonka kävijän näyttö tarvitsee.

The portfolio of a photographer in Vantaa. I designed the look and coded the site: a front page, four photo collections and an about page. The large photos are delivered only at the size the visitor's screen needs.
